FAQ
-
What is pelvic health physical therapy?Pelvic health physical therapy is a treatment approach that utilizes physical therapy techniques to treat dysfunction of pelvic muscles. Commonly referred to as the "pelvic floor," these muscles are responsible for important functions, including supporting pelvic organs, bowel and bladder control, as well as sexual function.
-
Do I need a referral/prescription from my physician? No; the state of Indiana is a Direct Access state, meaning you can seek physical therapy treatment without a referral from a physician.
-
Do you take my insurance?Pivotal Physical Therapy is considered an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. By not contracting with insurance companies, I am able to provide the care you need during one-on-one sessions, making treatment decisions based on your needs, not on insurance rules, resulting in faster and better results.
-
How much does a session cost? The cost of insurance-based physical therapy can vary greatly between sessions depending on what treatment is provided each session. By providing fee-for-service care, I am able to charge a flat rate of $125/session. This takes the guesswork out of how much you will owe, ensuring there are no suprise bills months down the road. It is always a good idea to speak with your insurance company regarding your specific plan. Upon request, I will provide a superbill for you to submit to insurance for reimbursement. If you need assitance, let me know!
